Gasthof Vorderbrand in Schonau am Konigssee

A few years ago we stayed at this alpine pasture on December 14th. It was the time when the many shooting stars could be seen in the night. We had our room in the direction of Berchtesgaden and could see countless shooting stars. Counting didn't work at all. The house people are very nice, very tasty food. During our overnight stay, the Perchten came to the Alm to drive away the evil spirits. A loud experience - but an experience. We should come back here, we like to think about it.

Great location and after the "ascent" just the right place to take a break. Good food with a great view. Friendly staff.

A few years ago I was already at the inn a few times, so I wanted to give a friend a voucher, unfortunately I was a little short of time, but the boss helped me so quickly and unbureaucratically that I passed the voucher the next day the post was delivered, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you again. That is still real Bavarian hospitality.

The Käsespätzle were very good, the waiter was very nice, but a bit hectic. Still full 5 stars, because something like that happens to everyone :)

The absolute hammer - that was our highlight today! Great location a bit out of the way with a great view. Super nice and attentive waiter - thanks for the excellent service. We were happy to have discovered this inn. There was delicious food and two cool wheat beers. Staff very friendly and super fast. we were there with an ebike, but that was a difficult tour. We also didn't see anyone on the route with a bike. Only hikers and drivers.

We have been to dinner twice now and enjoy! Super delicious food, excellent location and very nice staff! The host family is also very nice. We will spend our last holiday evening there !!! Clear recommendation

Food very good. Great hospitality. The view is sensational and the prices are okay.

On the terrace you can see the beautiful mountains directly! Fantastic for vacationers. Is a bit curvy and high, but it's worth it! Eat good. There are always too few parking spaces. You have to drive over high curbs to park. If this worked, the cozy part is within reach. Gladly again!

A very, very beautiful alpine hut or inn. The staff there are very nice and helpful. The food was delicious and the view was amazing. We loved it there. There was a playground for children and a cold beer for the adults 🍺

We have eaten here twice now and each time we loved it. The service is friendly, the food served very quickly and simply delicious, nicely arranged and the portion sizes always sufficient! Highly recommended! The playground next door is perfect for children. And of course the view is great too! We would love to come back on our next vacation!

The Gasthof Vorderbrand is beautifully located high up in the mountains and offers a wonderful view of the valley. The service was very nice and courteous. Atmosphere really nice. Unfortunately, the food is rather average and the taste was not so convincing. It was then quite expensive. (Price-performance) There is a nice playground attached, parking spaces are available on site and card payments are possible.

Everything was fantastic! Runge family was so kind and welcoming. They were smiling all the time. The restaurant was so clean, food was very very delicious. It was like a dream. "ye, ye, yeeeeeeeee" (you say after eating those cakes)

Great Bavarian restaurant! We visited this restaurant on Sunday August 5th and were welcomed by a very friendly owner. The food was amazing. We had a delicious mushroom soup as appetizer and after that a steak with Bratkartoffeln (baked potatoes) and pork from the oven with Semmelknödel (bavarian bread balls) and red cabbage. Everything of very good quality and delicious prepared. As desert we had Apfelküchle with ice cream and whipped cream. A delicious treat! Compliments to the chef of this restaurant and the staff! We will come back! Excellent!
